1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the SeLink services (the "Services") provided on our website selink.co.tz (the "Site"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Site and its Services and must discontinue use immediately.

2. The Services

SeLink provides third-party tools to assist with SGR travel planning in Tanzania. Our Services are divided into two main components:

A. SGR Seat Availability Checker

  • This Service allows you to query the official Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC) SGR API to view publicly available data regarding train schedules and seat availability for informational purposes.

B. Digital Ticket Generator

  • This Service allows you to convert a valid TRC SGR payment confirmation SMS into a digital, QR-coded ticket for a convenience fee. This includes parsing the SMS, generating a preview, processing a fee, and delivering the final ticket.

3. Disclaimer of Affiliation & Data Accuracy

SeLink is an independent service and is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC). All TRC names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of TRC.

The seat availability data presented by our Service is fetched in real-time from the official TRC API and is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not own, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this third-party data. All travel details, including final availability and pricing, must be confirmed on the official TRC SGR website before booking.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of our Services, you are responsible for:

  • Using the seat availability information as a planning guide and not as a final confirmation of availability.
  • Providing a complete, accurate, and unaltered payment confirmation SMS received from TRC when using the Ticket Generator.
  • Carefully verifying that all details (name, date, route, etc.) displayed in our preview are correct before paying the service fee.
  • The security of your digital ticket (PDF and download code) once delivered.
  • Complying with all TRC travel policies, including presenting a valid form of identification that matches the name on the ticket at the station.

5. Service Fee and Payments

For the Digital Ticket Generator service, a non-refundable convenience fee of TZS 500 is charged for each successful ticket generation. This fee covers the cost of our conversion, delivery, and payment processing services and is separate from the ticket fare you paid to TRC. The service fee is non-refundable once the digital ticket has been successfully generated and delivered to your email.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided on an "as-is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SeLink will not be liable for any damages resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Services.
  • Any decisions you make, financial or otherwise, based on the data presented by the Seat Availability Checker.
  • Inaccuracies, delays, or omissions in the availability data provided by the third-party TRC API.
  • Errors in the final digital ticket that result from an incorrect or incomplete SMS provided by you.
  • Denial of boarding by TRC for any reason, including discrepancies between the ticket and your identification or any other violation of TRC policy.
  • The temporary unavailability of our Site or the TRC API due to maintenance or technical issues.

7. Prohibited Activities

You are strictly prohibited from using the Services to create fraudulent, altered, or counterfeit tickets. You may not systematically scrape or retrieve data from the Seat Availability Checker for commercial purposes without our express written permission. Any misuse of the Services will result in an immediate ban and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
